Reflection about Community Service

Last week, Sept. 26.09 , I went to community service at school and it starts from 9 to 12. But there were only six children came and we cancelled. However, I thought we can do something with those children such as cooking and dancing. This doesn’t affect my personal values because we did nothing. Actually, I did nothing this time, so next time, if there were many children, and then I will do something more interesting such as game, sports and dancing. What I learned in the community service is that the community service might be cancelled and we have to think about it. Also when I see the children, they seem to exciting about doing something, so if we do the community service next time, I want to do at least a thing with those kids even though a few people come. This is what I did and thought during the community service from last time.

  2. I disagree with you. I believe your personal values were affected. The fact that you say we should have continued with only six children present reflects a personal value. It might be you believe you should not give up no matter what happens. If so, would you say that value was challenged that day?
